New Study Finds that High Fructose Intake May Lead to Hypertension

November 26, 2009 by Personal Liberty News Desk

Avoiding foods high in processed fat may be beneficial to your healthIt may be a good idea to cut out processed foods from your diet as a new study finds that a diet high in fructose increases the risk of hypertension, or high blood pressure.

While nutritional supplements such as garlic and hawthorn may help control hypertension, it may be beneficial to look into the nutritional facts of your dietary intake.

A study presented at the American Society of Nephrology’s 42nd Annual Meeting found that the rate of obesity has increased sharply since the development of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), and that the prevalence of HFCS in processed foods may have something to do with it. It’s been reported that Americans now consume 30 percent more fructose than they did 20 years ago.

The study showed that a diet of more than 74 grams of fructose a day led to dramatic increases in risk of hypertension for those with slightly higher blood pressure. Participants who had a blood pressure level of 160/100 had an 87 percent higher risk of developing hypertension.ADNFCR-1960-ID-19455786-ADNFCR

Processed foods are money-makers for LAZY food producers. They put various types of sweeteners in their foods, and this does your health NO good.
You do NOT need a degree in medicine or pharmacy to have a solid, basic knowledge of what is and what is NOT good for you.
As in most things, common sense is worth more than its ‘weight’ in gold. It will keep you healthy, and it will keep you away from those who see us as an assembly-line method of making easy money when we get sick.
Protect your health. Learn who your friends are. If your health care professional keeps you healthy, good for you. If your pro feeds you pills and takes your money (out of your pocket and via insurance), RUN AWAY! Your good health is YOUR business. You’ll be able to thank yourself or curse yourself for what you do and what you don’t do to stay healthy.

It is utterly amazing to see what they put HFCS into…it’s in everything! Everything I have read about it sys it’s deadly in the long-run. I used a bag of Pepperidge Farms stuffing this Thanksgiving and guess what one of the ingredients was…you got it, HFCS…in stuffing! And here I sit with hypertension…trying to fight it. The older I get, the harder it is to lose…then to add to that the med I take for it makes me tired. Sheesh, what a deceptive web that has been woven! Nowadays, you have to grow your own fruits & vegetables & be a vegetarian to be healthy…that’s about the toughest thing to do when you have eaten all the garbage out there for most of your life.

It’s time to slam dunk MDs, food manufacturers, Big Pharma and the FDA. How many deaths will it take to see that we are being used, abused and manipulated for PROFITS?
Where are those ETHICAL MDs [so-called "scientists"] who are so ‘concerned’ for our welfare? Sugars and artificial sweeteners do NOT find their way into the nation’s food supply ‘by accident.’ This is being done BY DESIGN.
You’d think the American people would get tired of walking around bent over. If it wasn’t so serious, it would be hilarious knowing that so many people
find it so easy to act as though they have hardened concrete for brains.
No wonder politicians have it so easy. We have allowed food producers to become back-up politicians, and they use the same mental tactics as career criminals in Washington (“this is for your own good,” or “we know what’s best for you”).
