As i should have alredy told you , you are right ,thats exactly what they do pick and choose . We cant even get the law to show us Oboma's birth certificate . Dont you know about the rights of privacy . Now I understand the goverment is going to obtain all medical records in a central medical records base . Yours will be public , Oboma's will still be private . Health care and retirement acounts are different for the public employees and congress than for you and me . Is this constitutional ? Pual i know their was a constitution , I guess it is a living constitution , that can be interrupted anyway they want . If it was followed justly . it could still be changed , but only with a 2 thirds majority . We would not have many changes . I would love to have the government follow the constitution more closely .

Eric g,
You obviously don't know your Constitution either. Maybe you are like most members of Congress, pick and choose what parts you choose to follow.

Eric g
I sure hope you don't win the lottery or inherit any money, because this goverment will tell you thats too much money for you to have and you didn't earn it . So they are going to tax it 90%. They think you are too stupid to have that much money and they know better how to spend it than you do.Just keep your eyes closed and they will take everything you have. They love guys like you.

Yes i Think congress should pass a retroactive tax law on all bonuses Bail out or not over $250,000 .
Even companies not getting a bailout from taxpayers . If the bonuses was paid from stock holders ,losses Its should still be illeagal . Go back 5 to ten yrs a retroactive bonus tax , for all companies . Please dont give them penalties , but a 90% rate would be about right . Who in their right mind would give foreigners bonuses for losing american stockholders money . If republicans think this is the law ,Iam sure glad we changed administrations .

To 'Vote Out' can go one of two ways....Both methods begin with the letter 'B' and end with the letter 'T' and they both have the same number of letters in the 'word'. Both methods are 'very' effective except that 'one' is 'more effective' than the other...there's 'NO' chance for 're-election' with the one method, if you get my drift (...off to sleep now....I'm soooo tired -- GRIN!)

ACORN -- I guess now we know why they're so 'Squirrelly'; don't we???

Card check, what a scam. Why do the unions need the goverment to pass laws to protect them? If they have such a great product to offer why laws? If it is for the better of the country lets put unoins on the 2010 ballet. If America wants union then they can have them, but if they don't unions will be against the law. It will never happen. Why does the Vice President meet with them behind closed doors? And if the goverment is working with the unions lets see all of their financials and see how much they are paying for this help.Maybe they are paying themselves too much and we should control them.
Today card check .Tomorrow Acorn will be looking over your shoulder to make sure you vote for the right Socialist. Look Out America It's Comming.

Every single member of Congress that voted to pass the AIG Bonus Tax Bill should resign. It is obvious that none of them that voted for the bill understands much less knows the Constitution. The Constitution which they swore an oath to 'support and defend'.

Even if none of them resign from Congress, Speaker Palosi needs to step down as Speaker since she even allowed the bill to come to the floor for a vote.

Where are the constitutional attorneys since Obama became U.S. President and have they all gone underground? The fact is that 1) The stimulus bill proposed and pushed as urgent with fear mongering by Obama, Dodd, and Gaithner made the bonuses legal contractually; Obama didn't come out as angry until the information was leaked to the public; 2) The government can't just make laws on a whim to make themselves look better by proposing and implementing a retroactive law that would punish those who received the bonus legally and order excessive and unusual taxes upon those receipients of the bonuses when the government already places a high tax on bonuses that must be claimed as income; and 3) the federal government appears to be violating U.S. Constitutional law that states it has limited powers but is trampling on states rights, We The People rights; and constitutional rights by expanding its powers without limits and printing trillions of dollars without accountability and without limits or boundaries in total disregard for the majority of people who say - let free enterprise work. File bankruptcy. Go into receivership. Fail if you must. Let other stable banks or insurance companies or car dealerships take over those that don't know how to do their job honestly and responsibly. That's America. In the 80s, banks and markets failed and others took them over or the failed corporations closed down, but America kept moving forward and obviously, forgot that we don't need socialism to ruin Americanism.
