1) The so-called immaculate conception (i.e. the myth that Jesus was born out of a “virgin”). The whole story was meant to illustrate or “prove” the truth of the prophecies regarding (the circumstances surrounding) Jesus´ birth, life and death. Of course you´re supposed to find these `prophecies` in the Old Testament) or the Torah, or whatever you want to call it). Now, it appears that the interpretation of the O.T. verse is the result of a totally faulty translation. But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself. Let’s first consider the two texts of special interest for us here. We have Matthew 1:23 and Isaiah 7:14. In Isaiah we read, …. Behold, a VIRGIN shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name (or be called) Immanuel.
“Matthew” writes, …..Behold, a VIRGIN shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, (etc).
But the trouble is, that the Greek translators of the (“original”) Hebrew text, apparently, made a grave mistake. They decided to convert the Hebrew word ALMAH (original text) into what is known in the English language as virgin. Unfortunately the Hebrew word for virgin is not almah, but BETULAH. The word almah simply means “young woman”. And certainly we can assume that, even in Jesus’ days, not every young woman (about to be married) could or should be necessarily considered a virgin. So here, as in some other places in the so-called New Testament, where the author stooped to the insertion of an OT reference, we see that the person in question nicely adapts the text to be translated to his obvious intention: SEE, I TOLD YOU, IT WAS FORTOLD!!! In plain, modern English we simply call this Deception or cheating…….

2) The story of the Cross. Quite a few weird things have, really astonishingly, been included into the whole mishmash of pseudo (?) facts referred to as “the Passion of Christ”. Let’s take that crazy tale about Barabbas and Pontius Pilate. The story goes that the (Jewish) mob gathered before Pilate was given the choice of amnesty for either Jesus or Barabbas. Now imagine the circumstance that one of the CRUELLEST DICTATORS sent out by Rome to “pacify” one of its conquered provinces, would let himself be intimidated by a random mob of thugs. According to the ancient Jewish historian Josephus one of Pilate’s specialties even included the brutal slaying of local mobs. So it seems totally improbable that this beast, Pilate, would have succumbed to the whim of a bunch of hysterical hooligans. Professor S.G.F. Brandon, in his book, “The Trial of Jesus of Nazareth”, …. ‘the very idea of such a situation is ludicrous in the extreme’. But, of course, once again an Old Testament prophecy had to be (allegedly) fulfilled: the “lamb” of the Lord had to be slaughtered. Because, oh what would have become of humankind, had the mob succeeded in letting Pilate set Jesus free, instead of Barry…..
On a more serious note, in all probability Pilate would have ordered the slaying of the mob as well as a slow death on the cross for Jesus and our friend Barriboy. He had better things to do than to step into a dispute with some pathetic Hebrew mob.

3) The nailing on the cross. This story also beautifully illustrates the fact that the Gospel writers (who went to work decades after Jesus’ supposed death, anyway) weren’t terribly familiar with the way the Romans went about nailing someone to the cross. You’ll find allusions to the whole nailing affair in Luke 24:39 and John 20:25 and 27. John even explicitly points to the nail marks in Jesus’ hands. But closer reading will reveal the fact that both Luke and John refer to reports about marks observed AFTER Jesus’ “resurrection”. We all know the story of Thomas the skeptic, the doubter, who demanded concrete evidence of Jesus’ return from the grave through the signs allegedly still visible in his hands and side (pierced by a Roman soldier). But none of the disciples had been present at Golgotha that particular Friday. So how could Thomas know anything about a hole or puncture in Jesus’ side? There’s no evidence whatsoever concerning the notion that the Romans routinely administered such (peri- or postmortem) sword punctures. Weird, strange! Anyway, driving nails through the convict’s palms wouldn’t have made any sense, because in that case the hands would have split right down the middle and the nails would not have remained in place! (A friend of mine, a biology professor at the University of Leiden, Netherlands alerted me to this circumstance years ago already). And the outstanding New Testament scholar, the late Oxford professor Graham Stanton pointed to archeological material found in Israel in 1970, comprising the bones of a young man crucified during the Roman era in Palestine. In this case nail marks were clearly visible, not in the palm region, but significantly lower, near the wrist bones. This would lend genuinely proper support to the nails in order to keep the body in place. So, all in all we can be pretty sure that the gospel writers made up this story without the slightest clue about the real course of events during a crucifixion. One more indication that the authors could not possibly have been eyewitnesses to the so-called Passion of Jesus.
4) Finally, my dears there is that really totally absurd passage about Jesus’ genealogical register. You’ll find the whole thing described in Matthew 1: 2 to 17 and Luke 3: 23 to 38. Now, the heart of the matter concerns the idea that Jesus’ lineage should be traceable right down to King David himself, as (allegedly) foretold in the OT. But the trouble is that this lineage is supposed to start out, not with Jesus’ biological mother Mary, but his (“step”)father Joseph. And, as we all know (……) Jesus wasn’t begotten by that poor Joseph, but by the very Holy Ghost himself. Great theologians, such as the eminent late professor Karl Barth, have wrestled with this issue, but no one ever succeeded in solving it satisfactorily at all. To me it’s just mythical nonsense, infantile pseudo-history, as so much of the material included in your bible. But as ridiculous as it may sound, undoubtedly millions of conservative Christians, especially here in the USA, still hang on to such absurdities and consider them fully inspired by their Lord himself. Ah well, sleep tight, sweet dreams!

First of all,sex was made for a man and a woman’s procreativity. Otherwise, this world wouldn’t be where it is today. You know what I mean? And anything outside of that is only a dillusion. But one thing I like about the male gays. They like to keep their business more private, despite them lesbians, who like to bragg about it, force themselves on others. And make a woman’s life in Prison, a woman’s worst nightmare, when it comes down to sex. About 75% of them be lesbians in female concentration camps.Forcing themselves on each other, constant fights. It ain’t like that in male Prison’s. You might find only 2 or 3 straight up gays in every cell block unit. They only approach them as they see them.
And while men like to keep a low profile on his personal business.That way, gays get respect. You digg? To you DAVIS I’ll say. The burden of proof lies wholly with the Believers, who contend that God created the Universe. The point being that you just can’t stop at God as a separate entity. HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN GOD’S EXISTENCE? Where does God come from? You still haven’t answered that question. And, Why did God decide to create matter, time and space at that particular point, if he did such a thing at all, of course. You Believers take God’s existence for granted, but on what grounds? In my opinion solely because you’re stuck with the idea that SOMEBODY MUST have brought things s we observe them within our reality into concrete existence. That’s what we call anthropomorphism: our brain cannot fathom the reality of an uncaused MATERIAL REALITY (what I called a SINGULARITY a few times above already. And for your information: science doesn’t need to “prove” God’s Non-Existence, simply because it’s impossible to DEFINE God as an entity at all. Where is god? If you say “in Heaven”, that’s just begging the question, because (once again) you’ll have to prove the existence of Heaven itself, etc, etc, etc. What you’re doing is trying to drag me down into the trap of a “REGRESSUS AD INFINITUM”, an endless string of “causes” that’s supposed to lead us into that dreamed of First Cause, but you forget that this so-called First Cause must itself be explained, and explained comprehensively. And, I’m still waiting for that satisfactory explanation!!!

Finally, those astrophysical (and purely technical) matters, such as the transformation of anti-matter into matter (and vice versa) is really way beyond my poor cognitive potential. I’ve heard that a whole lot of alien folk are very well able to do tricks in that direction and I wish them much luck, but I really can’t see what that has to do with allegedly Divine Origins of the Universe (which, once again, is nothing more than a very weak hypothesis : if you can’t come up with something more tangible and rational, there’s always a God or Gods to help you out nicely! Look, there are no “good” people in this world. The Bible makes it abundantly clear that all of us are tainted by and infected with sin (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 6:23; 1 John 1:8). Romans 3:10-18 could not be clearer about the non-existence of “good” people: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The poison of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Every human being on this planet deserves to be thrown into hell at this very moment. Every second we spend alive is only by the grace and mercy of God. Even the most terrible misery we could experience on this planet is merciful compared to what we deserve, eternal hell in the lake of fire.

Satan – not God – is evil, and is behind evil deeds. Satan is all about death, but God is all about life.

God is powerful enough to stop anything, but He operates under certain laws, which He Himself established, that give humans the choice either to submit to Him and obey His commandments, or reject Him and do evil. God created us to love Him and have a relationship with Him. The relationship would not mean anything if we were controlled by God like puppets. So God has given people the freedom to make choices—and to reap the rewards or suffer the consequences of those choices.

3. Sin has consequences

The Old Testament of the Bible has numerous examples of God punishing nations for sin. God blessed the nations when they were humble before Him, seeking to know Him, asking Him to direct their paths, and living according to His commandments. But when they were rebellious against God—trusting in their wealth for security instead of in Him, living in immorality, not seeking Him in prayer, worshipping other gods, disobeying His voice—He allowed them to suffer the consequences of their sin.

Sometimes the consequences would come about naturally, as a result of their deeds.

The crucifixion of Jesus is the ultimate example. God allowed Satan to work through evil people to crucify Jesus. Jesus didn’t deserve it; He was perfectly righteous and totally innocent. But God the Father allowed Jesus (God the Son) to suffer and die in order to bring life to those who call upon Him. Jesus Himself could have used His deity to crush those who persecuted and killed Him, but He allowed the evil to be done to Him for our sakes:

Luke 22:52,53 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders who had come against Him, “Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against a robber? 53 “While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours.”

John 10:17,18 “For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. 18 “No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”
