What you are is what you eat! Could start your own garden and you need to educate yourself a little. Supplements are mainly necessary because our food supply is nutrient deficient. "All disease comes from a lack of minerals". All said more government control over us must be stopped as big pharma must be stopped! Big government has never worked and never will! I saw what prescription drugs did to both my parents. The more they took, the more negative side effects they had. To counteract the negative side effects, the Doctor simply got out his prescription pad and gave them more drugs. They trusted their doctor and respected the position he held. I am sure he had good intentions. However, all he learned in medical school was how to be a drug pusher: limited nutritional training and no holistic health techniques. As the result, by the time my parents died they were both on numerous medications, none of which seemed to improve their lives. Big Pharma is taking over our health care and they certainly seem to have our government's ear. We need to speak up and demand they leave our God-given right to care for ourselves, via non prescription supplements, alone. My husband and I have both seen very positive results from taking responsibility for our own health care. If the government takes that right away from us, we are all in BIG trouble. We will become victims of the new government health care system, and I will bet they will be pushing big pharma's drugs like crazy. Statistics prove prescription drugs are 16,400% more deadly than terrorists. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) in 1998, a report finds that prescription drugs kill about 106,000 Americans each year – that’s three times as many as are killed by automobiles—making prescription drug death the fourth leading killer after heart disease, cancer and stroke.

Last year, the Journal of the American Medical Association puts death from all drugs, illegal and prescription, second only behind car accidents as a cause of death.

The rise in deaths coincides with the direct marketing of prescription medication to the public. Prescription drug sales have soared nearly 500 percent since 1990.

The pharmaceutical industry is a multi-trillion dollar business. Companies spend billions on advertising and promotions for prescription drugs. Pharmaceutical companies claim their drug ads are “educational” to the public.
