Couples increasingly opt for alternative fertility treatments

There are signs that the popularity of holistic fertility treatments has been growing, especially since mainstream therapies can have mixed results and cause side effects in addition to growing increasingly expensive.
Fertility clinics around the country are now offering alternative and complementary therapies which include fertility yoga, acupuncture, massage, nutrition counseling and, in some cases, even spiritual guidance, according to media reports.
The benefit of holistic techniques lies in helping individuals to better cope with stress and achieve a calmer level of existence, suggests Dr. Laurence Jacobs, reproductive endocrinologist with Fertility Centers of Illinois.
He adds, "These holistic methods enhance medical treatment, improve reproductive function and create an overall better state of mind and health."
Those struggling with infertility may also choose from a range of natural herbal resources to boost their chances of conception.
For example, MotherNature.com, a natural health website, quotes Dr. Julian Whitaker from a wellness center in Newport Beach, California, who says supplements containing antioxidants beta-carotene and vitamins C and E can increase sperm count and motility.

Hi, Im louela, 31 y/o, diagnosed w/ pcos last 2006. I have two episodes of anembryonic pregnancy. My hubby has low sperm count of only 1.8M, some of which are abnormal sperm cells, and the motility is also low. With the two episodes of pregnancies i have had, i have been really frustrated.
