Who’s the Liar Now, Mr. Obama?

It isn’t easy to upstage the President of the United States when he’s delivering a speech to a joint session of Congress. But Rep. Joe Wilson managed the feat 10 days ago, when he blurted out, “You lie!” during President Barack Obama’s pitch for his healthcare proposals.
Legislators from both sides of the aisle were quick to jump all over the Republican congressman from South Carolina for his rudeness. Katon Dawson, the former head of the Republican Party in South Carolina, opined, “If Joe’s mother or father were alive, they’d take him to the woodshed and whip him for bad manners.”
Before the night was out, Wilson had been pressured to call the White House to apologize. Not content that Rep. Wilson apologized directly to the White House, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her cronies demanded he also apologize on the House floor. When he refused, they voted 240-179 to "disapprove" his actions. Ah well, at least it distracted them from spending a few billion more of your tax dollars for a day or two.
By the end of the day last Thursday, Rob Miller, his opponent in last year’s election, reported that he had received some $400,000 in contributions from 11,000 donors to help him defeat Wilson next time around. Wilson promptly announced that he too had received a big chunk of moola from patriots who want him to stay in Washington. Looks like next year’s election in that district will be mighty interesting.
Lost in all of the hullabaloo were two things worth mentioning: First, Wilson’s outburst paled in comparison to the treatment President George W. Bush received on numerous occasions from his Democrat opponents. There were times during George W.’s State of the Union speech in 2005 when there were so many jeers, cat-calls, mutterings and murmurings it was difficult to hear what he was saying. Anyone remember the liberal media expressing its outrage then?
But my second point is far more important: For all of his impoliteness, Wilson was telling the truth. Obama wasn’t.
Wilson’s outburst was in response to the president’s claim that nothing in the Democrats’ proposals would lead to federal funding of healthcare for illegal immigrants. Wilson knows something most Americans don’t: Liberals in Congress have defeated every single attempt by Republicans to put such provisions into law. Of more than 20 such amendments that were introduced in the past year, not a single one has been allowed out of committee.
No wonder Wilson was so upset. He knows what’s really been going on behind those closed committee doors. He knows Obama was playing fast and loose with the truth. And so did everyone else in the House chamber that night.
I wasn’t surprised by all the blatant falsehoods in Obama’s speech. For me, the tone was set in the first five minutes, when the president told the assembled lawmakers, “I am not the first president to take up this cause. But I am determined to be the last.”
That may have been great rhetoric. The assembled Democrats obviously thought so, because they gave the president an enthusiastic standing ovation.
Yes, it might have sounded good. But it wasn’t the truth. And everyone listening to the president knew it.
Is there anyone anywhere who honestly believes that the government’s role in providing healthcare for the public will no longer be an issue when President Obama leaves office? That no one on either side of the aisle—Democrat or Republican, liberal or conservative—will ever introduce new legislation to “improve” whatever system Congress agrees to during Obama’s tenure?
Give me a break. This debate will continue until long after your great-grandchildren have collected their last Social Security check. Obama knows that. So does every member of the House and Senate who sat through his speech that night. And to pretend otherwise is nothing short of political duplicity. (That’s a more polite way of saying, “He lies!”)
Another obvious fantasy in the president’s address was his claim, “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits, either now or in the future—period.”
Let me see if I’ve got this right. Under ObamaCare, some 40 million Americans who currently do not have health insurance will suddenly get coverage … and it won’t cost taxpayers a dime? Does anyone believe this?
I was amused to hear the president say that one reason his plan would be more efficient is that the government-run program, unlike private insurance, wouldn’t have to make a profit. Nor would it have to pay all those expensive executive salaries.
Has anyone anywhere found one example of a government-run program that is more efficient than private enterprise? Anyone? Anyone?
It’s hard for me to believe that any adult American could be so gullible as to believe this. What I do believe is that a majority of Congress will pretend to believe it, knowing that a bunch of their constituents want it to be true. (Or, far more likely, don’t care if it is or not, so long as they get all those “free” benefits they’ve been promised.)
Another misleading remark in Obama’s address was his claim that “no federal funds will be used to fund abortions.” Did you notice that not a single pro-abortion legislator (who as a group are probably the most outspoken extremists in Congress) said anything in opposition to this part of Obama’s speech?
That’s because they know the fix is in. Despite repeated efforts by pro-life legislators, not a single proposal to put this into law has been approved in Washington. No matter what Obama says now, the pro-abortion crowd is confident that whatever legislation is finally approved, it will include a provision requiring that so-called “public option” health insurance covers abortions.
Finally, let me say a few words about the part of Obama’s speech I found the most offensive. That was his “my way or the highway” attitude. He accused talk radio hosts, cable news and conservative leaders of deliberately spreading falsehoods. He wants you to believe that everyone who opposes his plan to nationalize medical care is lying.
There was not a word of criticism for the attack dogs on the left, such as House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who called opponents of these plans “un-American.” Or Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who labeled those who disagree with him as “evil mongers.”
After denouncing virtually everyone who has disagreed with him, the president then said, “Now is when we must bring the best ideas of both parties together.” The amazing thing to me is that no one laughed out loud at the hypocrisy of such a statement.
As every conservative on Capitol Hill knows, there has been absolutely no effort to include them in this debate. Their ideas are not welcome—and neither are they.
To say that conservatives and libertarians have never offered any constructive suggestions about healthcare is a flat-out lie. Anyone who cares can check out proposals on “How to Insure Every American” by Republican Representatives John Shadegg and Pete Hoekstra. Or the very sensible ideas for health-care reform by John Mackey, the founder and CEO of Whole Foods. Or the detailed analyses and proposals from the Cato Institute, Reason magazine, the Heritage Foundation and a dozen others.
Republicans haven’t been included in negotiations on Capitol Hill for months. House Speaker Pelosi has shown nothing but disdain for those who disagree with her. Nor is it any different at the White House, where conservatives have been locked out of discussions on healthcare since early spring.
While he says he wants bipartisanship, Obama means he wants opponents to sit down, shut up and go along with his proposals. He seems determined to use the Democrat majority he enjoys in the House and the Senate to ram through the most drastic reorganization of healthcare this country has ever seen.
He doesn’t want to debate, he wants to dictate. We’re about to find out if a majority in Congress will let him.

I don’t care what color the president is or the author of this poorly written article. personally i don’t know a lot about the details of politics right now and its mostly due to this sort of poorly written propaganda. A lot of accusations have been made against Obama, however, no evidence supporting the claims is listed. it is making the claims assuming that everyone knows the hidden facts and its all just common knowledge.
Claiming that “everyone knows” something doesn’t make it a fact. There is a lot of claims in this article that the only supporting evidence states is “and everyone knows that”. Come on, give yourself some credibility and state some facts, with sources, so that we the uninformed can look up and verify.
Vilifying people by calling them disparaging names such as “cronies” is simply school yard bullying. If you want to show me how bad Obama is, give me real solid evidence. Otherwise your hot air is no better than the claims of the president himself. Oh except for one thing, I can go to Obama’s website and look up actual government documents and see who actually voted on what and see how the bills are worded and decide for myself what is true and what isn’t.
All this political mudslinging without evidence is a huge disservice to the American people.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s not about race and I too have grown sick and tired of the (WORD REMOVED FOR OFFENSIVE CONTENT) race card being played. Early on I was going too vote for Obama, I was once a Democrat. It didn’t take long too figure it out however, that this is NOT a good person. I was a Democrat for close to 40 years, 3 months ago I became a Republican because the Democratic Party for me is contrary to many of the principles upon which this great country was founded. In fact I am ashamed of some Dems and especially the Liberal Left!!!

Let us make this clear, no one has criticized the tone of his skin. I want to see where you can tell who is tan, and who is brown on this blog? You have no idea who is who. My only conclusion is you may be the racist. Personally I voted for Allan Keyes… I may not agree with everything he said either, but does that classify me as racist if I disagree with the Communistic ways of Obama? Now Obama is going out of his way to tell State Senators and Governors when to run for office… This sounds like something I would hear about in Venezuela…
Like Crystal noted this article was full of unsubstantiated claims and assumptions that people believe him it was actually one of the biggest wastes of my time so far this year. JeffH hit the target about the comments coming out of left field in only one statement. And Peaches followed up with a solid solution to the country’s overall governing situation. However, the main point of contention with both Crystal and Abdul is the fact that they too failed to give any facts and site any sources.
I have read the preponderance of the only bill that was out there before the congressional recess, which was HR3200. While it may well have served the author’s purpose to give some facts and their associated references perhaps he decided not to make it look like a Master’s thesis or a Doctoral dissertation. Or, he may have thought highly of his target readership as being primarily adequately educated American citizens who, like he did, use the powers of observation (televised news accounts) and analysis to have seen many of the same behaviors (of Obama), hear the same words spoken (but not actually meant by Obama) and view or read other accounts of political smoke and mirrors going on concerning this so-called health care reform but did not put it together the way he did while relating similar events that occurred when President Bush was rendering his State of the Union address and democrats caused numerous audible interruptions.
It is intuitively clear, even to the most casual observer, that President Obama has no understanding (and no concept) whatsoever relative to his leadership responsibilities. He has an absolute lack of experience relative to ever having any position of authority and responsibility. (Voting “present” during his minor period of service in Senate does not pass that common sense test.) Obama cares not for what he needs to fully understand as a leader much less as a civilian leader of our great nation.
Crystal & Abdul, consider this. Long before he even ran for the highest office in the land he articulated a significantly skewed concept of such crucial American historical events that are the foundation of the greatest free nation in the world. Obama’s total lack of leadership experience coupled with his skewed view of America and personal arrogance (in this case) make for an eloquent speaker who since campaigning (which he has never made the required transition to governing so he continues to campaign today) utters (nice to hear) words that he does not mean (unless his true thoughts slip past his lips) and has no “Pro American agenda”. He has only one agenda (usually hidden) and that is a “Pro Obama agenda”. When you are willing to actually shed light on Obama’s past you quickly ascertain the false foundations he holds onto as he plans the absolute and catastrophic destruction of America-the first part of his hideous hidden agenda. One of the methods he plans to use includes bankrupting the country by creating a new (and unnecessary) “entitlement” that he and his ilk in the administration, the senate and the house will attempt to put a humanitarian label on it as well as saying (incorrectly) that it is the government’s responsibility to provide you, me and yes, the illegal aliens, with so-called “free” health care. Well, a big lesson for you two is that it is not free; it is paid for directly by the taxpayers through the government by way of higher taxes. And since doctors and other health care professionals will not be paid market rates to perform what they spent (in many cases a substantial amount of money to learn and get licensed in), there will be fewer of them to provide care to more people resulting in the cutting of those so-called free health care benefits by a rationing process described by brother of Rham Emmanuel, who is Obama’s chief of staff and included in HR3200. And, if you were to read deeper into HR3200 you will learn about the language giving the federal government access to your financial accounts! What does that have to do with health care reform? HR3200 also contains no language removing the health care industry from refusing service to illegal aliens who show up at our hospitals emergency rooms and no language requiring other (non emergency health service providers) to check their immigration or citizenship status before providing or refusing service. That is what Representative Wilson was absolutely correct when he impolitely blurted out, you lie!” HR3200 also contains language that states if your health insurance policy changes any of the terms of coverage or price, or you lose your insurance for any reason; you have to enroll in the government option or face stiff penalties. So much for you can keep your plan if you like it. And so much for your God given liberties and freedom as described in our country’s Declaration of Independence!
I am both glad and proud to have studied and accomplished what I have without the unwarranted benefit of unnecessary “entitlements” that Obama must have had since he was the product of a mixed marriage and broken home in the 1960’s. Unlike Obama, I do not have a “Poison Ivy League” college degree where I was inculcated with the most liberal (actually more progressive and statist views) where he (Obama) obviously was conditioned to believe that virtually everything American is wrong, is bad; and even evil.
By the way, Congressman Wilson still has his integrity as he was the one of those two who told the truth during Obama’s speech and since then his political war chest has grown ten plus times that of his democratic opponent’s has since then. That is just one more demonstrative fact the American citizenry has already had enough of Obama’s “hope & change” slogan and now want actual, unadulterated pro American policies by an unflinching experienced pro American leader who is there to selflessly serve the country by leading the country based upon the tried and true principles of our founding fathers to enhance our beacon of liberty to the world, not ruin it for all of us.
A viable course of action to reform the best health care system in the world would be to immediately allow you to buy health insurance across states lines (generates more competition resulting in lower premium process for you and me)) and attack the unhealthy high cost of health insurance and health care by focusing on tort reform relative to allegations of wrong doing by health care providers. The loser pays all costs concept would certainly limit frivolous malpractice suits. Then, if you limited the pain and suffering compensation, it would lower the doctor’s medical malpractice insurance premiums (which he or she passes onto you) with every exam, procedure, or surgery you have as a part of doing business. That would actually lower the cost of the health care provided. It would also make sense to make health insurers use plain English in their policies and establish a mechanism to monitor and enforce coverage compliance issues for the consumers (that’s you and me). And that shouldn’t take 1,000, 1,200 or 1,990 pages to write that bill. How’s that grab you?
Mike, your comment to Sommer was dead on. Bringing in the race card shows racism in itself. The color of ones skin has no bearing on what is in that persons heart. We did elect an African American, thats great. What is not great is where he is taking our wonderful country. Americans, even those like Sommer have enjoyed freedom all their lives. Maybe they should visit a country for a bout 6 months that is under a dictators reign. I think they would think twice about bringing in the race card when some disagree with her opinions. This country, according to the Constitution, is a federation in which the states are a member by choice and can secede if they so desire. All the states were doing was asserting their rights according to the Constitution. With what is going on currently in Washington, I think more states need to seriously look at seceding and forming a “more perfect union” as our founders intended in the first place and let the bleeding liberal pay for all of their “entitlements”.
The Civil War was in reality the war of Northern Aggression to force the south to surrender their rights. Slavery really had nothing to do with it. Slavery would have been gone within 2-3 years anyway as it was an institution that was morphing into an employer-employee relationship in most areas anyway and the more and more slave owners were releasing their slaves to be free men. The blacks actually had a harder time in the North as free men than their counterparts in the South.
You really need to do some studying of your history before you go spouting off about an “Uncivil War”.

Ronald Reagan was not perfect, nor were any of the other presidents weh have had. While the law forbids the use of funds and facilities for that class of folks, the law also requires hospitals to treat anyone how is injured or sick that shows up at their doors. They (hospital staff) can not turn them away. The payment for treating the poor and undocumented persons are paid by the federal dollars. Someone has to pay the bill and hospitals can not let the sick ad injured die at the front doors. Catch 22, Obama was not lying technically, it is a twist in the system and our morals that causes the lie.

I’m amused that the very same people who dismiss as racists all of those who oppose the policies of this Administration are themselves those who voted for him simply because he had a black parent. That racism thing works both ways.
You might find it a more productive – although admittedly more difficult proposition – to study the policies that are being proposed and think through the consequences. Try thinking about past well-intentioned policies and programs, like of the Great Society (welfare based on numbers of children, reductions if there was a male in the household, etc) that contributed mightally to the destruction of the family in this country – and black families in particular.
In short, stop walking around with nine fingers expoosed and your mind in neutral and get serious about what’s happening to the independence, freedom and integrity of this country at the hands of those who simply want credit for meaning well, regardless of the damage they do in the process.

Previously on the IPT blog we stressed the need for the Defense Department’s Islamic Chaplaincy program to adopt a stricter vetting process, citing historically radical imams who have served in the program.
Now the same can be said for the chaplaincy program for the Illinois State Police. The Mosque Foundation websitereports that Sheikh Kifah Mustapha recently completed a four day training session in Springfield, Illinois to become the first certified Muslim chaplain for the Illinois State Police.
Mustapha’s name appears on a list of unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) Hamas financing trail, which ended with sweeping convictions in November of 2008. On this list he is identified as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee.

The Bush Administration started a war based on a pack of lies. Take a count of all the lives his actions have cost America and Iraq men, women and innocent little children.
Why did Bush not get ben-laden like he promised? He pulled out of Afghanistan taking the thugs with him into Iraq. Is breaking a promise the same as a lie?
What I will never forget above all – my vote did not count in 2000 – Bush was put into the highest office of our country by the courts that be. Republican style of – True Democracy. Don’t do as I do but as I say.

His best friend since 1968, stated he has only practiced real estate law. If he is an immigration lawyer nobody knows about it and no proof is available.
In S.C. 20% of their people have no insurance. That state has one of the highest pregancy rates, along with the highest infant mortality rates. You would think he would be working for the people, instead of just holding the party line.
When in 2003 he voted for the Medicare Advantage bill, he must not have noticed that it has provisions to pay the hospitals for care given to illegal immigrats. He must have thought that it was a good trade off by giving the Big Phrma companies 800 billion it wouldn’t really be noticed.

The one factor in the cost and lack of portability in the current health insurance industry that no one talks about is Government mandates and regulation. Government does nothing well except skirt their responsibility to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. This administration and the current leaders in Congress have chosen to completely ignore the 10th amendment. Surprise me and convince me you know what that is! Eyes, apparently you know nothing about we Christians who are trying to help teenagers and single women who become pregnant. I worked for 9 years with a group of women who are still doing this, who gave them layettes, clothes for their older children if they were a single mother and had some, baby beds, car seats, pregnancy tests to be sure they were really pregnant, get them to a doctor who worked with us in helping them, formula, baby food, etc.,set up a budget, etc. And we are only a phone line. If they decided to give the baby up for adoption, we referred them to a place who took care of them during their pregnancy. There is a lot going on out there to help women that a lot of people know nothing about. Our line has been in existence since 1982. There really is not reason for a woman to get an abortion if her life is not in danger. There are so many couples wanting to adopt who cannot have children of their own. As for his lie about being an Immigration attorney, he probably did lie about that. None of the immigration lawyers questioned recall his Immigration practice, and no records indicate that he ever practice Immigration law.

I don’t know how you people can say G.W. stole the election when even the newspaper reporters that went down and counted the ballots, Bush won. Every recount showed he won. The reason people think otherwise is that the media gave Florida to Gore before all the precincts were counted. The panhandle is in a different time zone than the rest of the state, and after their votes were in, to everyone’s surprise, Bush has won Florida. It was then Gore’s team started their shenanigans, trying to give votes to Gore that should not have been counted at all for either one. That also happened in Minnesota this past election.

I am not republican or democrat. both sides disgust me. both sides accuse, point fingers, and call names. Very few citizens or representatives are quick to just state facts and present evidence. They all just say, “(he or they) are a liar”. People have claimed politicians to be racists for a long time. Bush was called one too. Chances are racism is present to some degree in every human being. No one is perfect. No one can keep all promises. Until a candidate is in office they are not privy to every detail that takes place in the Oval Office. They can’t possibly know everything needed to be known in order to make claims and promises while on the campaign trail. In my opinion, candidates need to stop making promises and start only stating intentions.
As far as stating the misgivings and half truths of Wilson is concerned, it’s a valid argument. If this were court a person’s character contributes to the validity of their remarks. A witness can be completely discredited if they are proven to have a dishonest character. No I am not giving a defense for Obama because I do not know if he is lying or not. I have not seen any evidence either way presented by either side.
Until facts and evidence are laid on the table both sides are full of crap and wasting taxpayer money and time. And anyone that contributes to the unvalidated, and unproven mudslinging is a guilty party to parroting propaganda based on biased ill informed prejudices.

Where in the Constitution does it give the Federal Government power over our health care? You are responsible for your own care and no one else. Years ago health care was not expensive and doctors made house calls. With my first baby, I was in the hospital 5 days and the bill was $120 which we had to pay ourselves. The doctor was $50. We’ve come a long way in 52 years. We have procedures, tests and drugs that were not available then to help us get well and also keep us seniors going when years ago we would have died.. I am grateful for our health care system. The Federal Government is looking to screw it up royally.

Plus, as the democrats have indicated, in 2010 they are going to rescind the tax cuts which are going to cost business’s even more. Quit taxing them, leave them have their money, and they will hire more and more people, as they did when Bush put the tax cuts in. But no, here come you tax loving lefties, and look what happens? Its going to get worse, because of the tax cuts soon going away, and the knowledge that the tax monsters are in power. Environmentalists are a big part of the problem. The whole global warming hoax is driving a lot of what is happening with our businesses. Geological scientists say we are actually in a cooling period, that the ice is getting larger in the Arctic and Antarctic. It’s all due to the activity of the sun and is cyclical.
I don’t care what the rest of the world thinks, if our Christian leaders tell us that the warming is not happening then it isn’t. Even if it is who cares? WEcan’t stop it anyway. We just need to make sure that the democrates take the blame for it. We need to start rumors that they are the ones who made us dependant on oil and wouldn’t let us off of it. Corporations through their lobbies and financial power have made slaves out of all of us, that is the reason for our health care costs being double or more of most countries. When unions where at their height there was balance of power and the economy was good for everyone not just a minority as it is today. People used to have jobs that supported them today that is not true and this puts a lot of pressure on Gov. to fill in the gaps, today Gov. pays a bigger portion of the population’s living expenses then when the big corporations paid living wages far fewer people then could qualify for Gov. benefits and Unions where played a large part in that but today that is not true and companies can get by with paying many of their employees wages that do not support them. The best thing workers today could do for the country as a whole would be to join a union and guess what even at today wages are a little over $200.00 week more than non union and better benefits, check the labor dept. website if you do not believe me. It still works for those that are Union but even for them it is more difficult that it was before 1980. These big corporations are laughing all the way to the bank at all you idiots that are anti union and buy into them being so big and bad as they know as long as you do they can pocket all that extra earnings for themselves, they make so many dependent on Gov. today as it seems few here can do the math either as they all seem to believe in miracles and that any job make everyone self sufficient when in fact it does not.
7% NOW but not before the rice burners got here. In the 70s it was perfectly acceptable for the big three to push out cars that were defective…I think it was 7% (lemon law). Remember Dr Demming? (spelling) He was the American that helped the Japs with quality and process improvement techniques that were driven down to the factory floor to the point that their line employees became autonomous process improvers. Which led to better cars. The big three were forced to catch up or get left behind…and they have for the most part. BUT look at the top 20 line item costs that go into producing a Jap versus US car. Labor is the most expensive cost in US cars and does not even register in the Jap cars.
So the reason that unions are only 7% now is because: 1. Their big mean corporations are only a fraction of the size that they used to be due to competition. 2. American made cars are always playing catch up in innovation. That giant spinning flywheel just can’t change direction that fast.
I have seen it with my own eyes…and THEY WERE WIDE OPEN! The union ran shops are a joke and spue inefficiency. And now big O is paying them back in every way…including card check (he wishes)!
So if the unions do make a come back, say goodbye to US industry. Most will not stand for it.

Union haters always say what you say and that is the reason you say it and because you do not know the truth. In a union shop inefficiency is the responsibility of management as it is in non union shops and they make all the decisions on efficiency and never the unions. When unions were at their height the economy was too and would be again if unions were strong as they help provide a balanced economy with employees making a living wage and then will not be dependent on government programs as many have no choice but to be on today. Many working families today depend on medicaid or similar health care programs, day care subsidies, food stamps, earned income credits etc. as they to not make enough to pay for them themselves, when unions where strong no working people qualified or needed these programs as they need now. Unions force management to make decisions that do not make since. Whole processes have to be designed and built around the inefficiencies that you have built into the system over time. The rules and regs are in place to protect the workers, why not let them put those union dues in their pockets?
No David I’m not a layed off union worker. I am a retired auto worker from one of the big three and I am losing the benefits I worked so many years for. Unions are similar to all of the good old boys clubs that exist in America – they protect their own and have a lot of incompetents controlling the rank and file. My forefathers fought for decent working conditions for everyone and if the government and narrow minded people like you have your way we will return to the sweat shops – like I said my forefathers fought and died to correct. If America has enough people with the means to stop us from becoming a service nation or a third world country it will behoove us to keep unions intact to protect us.
Dee, that explains the one major difference between us. I have worked since college in a privately held plant, which at times has served the american auto industry. I have toured many of your plants and it is really sad how many people it takes to get the job done in a union shop. Luckily for me, the company I work for has survived as several direct competitors (union shops) closed down. They could not compete so they moved abroad. I am sorry about your pension, heck we are all worried about that…I still have plenty of years to go but now this gov. is trying to take over and “we the people” are pissed off and have done our homework. As I said before it is company management that makes all the decisions as to what and how they make as in this case cars and if you saw what you claim you saw it was because management made the decisions as to how many people it needed to do a job and to how the jobs were done, this is never the decision of the unions or the workers weather they are union or non union, again you credit the unions with a lot of power they do not have and blame them for the decisions of management, we too had more employees than we needed in the last fifteen years I worked there and we tried to explain that to them but they were poor managers as opposed to those managers who proceeded them and made these stupid decisions anyway because they did not know how to do it in an efficient manner. We had about 10% more employees to do the same jobs in the last fifteen years than worked there in all the years that proceeded them doing the same work. Do you blame the children for the bad behavior of their parents as that is what you seem to be doing here, it only reveals your hatred of unions and has nothing to do with the truth.

Smilee, BBC had report on how we do our polls, I couldn’t stop laughing. They showed how you can skew any poll to make it read what you want. They even stated that certain area codes and zip codes are so predictable that if a polling company is looking for a certain outcome they can get it. I personally don’t believe in polls, as the hidden agenda insults me. But, I do believe that the election results show that American was unhappy with us Republicans and we have lots of work to do.

You must remember that all the Obama haters on here are representative of only about 20% of the population of the country and being such a small minority they will never succeed in bringing Obama down as he is very much respected as an individual by the vast majority of the population albeit a fewer number agree with him on some issues. Remember when these same people where telling us before the election that the race factor would be large in the polls and doubted he could win because of it, well they where wrong and they are wrong here to as they have been in the majority of all elections in the last five years or so but they will never admit it nor will they admit it that it is their portion of the republican party that is dragging it down and because of that a lot of analysis of many is that they will not do well in 2010 because of that and not anything the democrats say or do. Why do you suppose they put a black man in charge of their party as they know the party may fail and they can then blame it on that because they know many of them are bigots, remember there a few blacks in their party as was apparent at their convention in St. Paul last year. Most blacks do not think they care anything about them and my guess they are right.

I was shocked and amazed that after Obama’s address to Congress that he had a slight positive bump in polls for “his healthcare plan.” Has the American Public dumbed down that much. I am even more amazed at the far left Pelosi bunch calling anyone speaking out against “OBAMACARE” racist. I see 60 percent of the NFL is black. 70 percent of major league baseball is black and hispanic/caribbean. The color of the skin does not matter unless the “Peter Principle” is in affect. Happens all the time. I see it from another point of view. I work in a large manufacturing plant and struggle with the people that have worked their way up from the floor and since I was hired in as an engineer….I get to deal with upper mgrs that like to promote their own instead of the right person.

Racism is only a heart filled with hatred in this case hatred of a black person for the color of their skin and has nothing to do with what you say and imply and it seems that few people here understand that, accusing racism when it has nothing to do with the issue and if it does there always seems to be an explanation given that makes no sense. Racists are almost always in denial of it but I fear we have quite a few in here and I’m equally sure if they are not in denial they would not admit it.

No Buyers remorse here, none at all, I still think he best man for the job in my lifetime and you may have to agree with that when he leaves office in 7 1/2 years because then we will all know how really good he is, I think at this early date even you know it is not possible to know how he will turn out but he sure shows a lot of promise. I just wanted to say OMG amazing that was a wonderful story and it is the best when people actually write the truth. I also think the saying the truth hurts is so true and this is why when he called Obama a liar they made a huge deal about it.
