OldFirefighter — I absolutely agree with you that the leniency with which drunk drivers are treated is unacceptable. We must work together to change the laws to stop the slaughter of innocent people by drunk drivers.

We tried that, ever hear of Prohibition? Everyone knows how well that turned out, the rise of the American Mafia.

Gun Control is hitting your target!

While reading these posts the idea kept coming up that the government would some how be able to use the military against an general uprising of the people. I don't believe this is possible, the people who make up the military are not mercenaries brought in from other countries, they are our friends, neigbors, and brothers/sisters. As a 20 year veteran I would have considered such an order as unlawful and would have refused to comply.

This has been a subject I've followed for a while now. Here is my answer to it.
1. I own guns.
2. They are not now and will never be registered even if the pass this bill.
3. What kind they are is none of your or the governments business.
4. Anyone government or civilian trying to force theyre way into my home while I am there will find out what kind they are.

And befor anyone says I'm some sort of right wing wacko, I served 20 years in the military to preserve our way of life. Did you?

didnt christ have something to do with a revolution against the established church of rome or soemthing? didnt he bust up the vendors tables at the temple steps? christian, the original, were rebels werent they, and somewhere in history, even their religion got re-written for the control of the masses and the supremacy of the roman powers. the message seemed to get lost over time.
well, it happened then [i believe] and its happening now.
in the schools, and in the programs.
there is good in any religion, thats one of the reasons [i believe] that freedom of religion is in the constitution. it is twisted by the powers that be.
freedom of speech,it is manipulated and twisted by the main media
and the right to bear arms - we can see where that is going if we dont stop it...
AND THAT IS BY OUR VOTES AND OUR VOICES. I WANT TO KNOW NOT HOW TO WHINE ABOUT WHAT IS WRONG, BUT HOW TO DO SOMETHING TO CHANGE THIS TREND BEFORE IT IS TOO DEEPLY INGRAINED IN THE LAWS OF OUR SOCIETY.

with guns we are citizens, but havent you noticed that the citizen is the new 'comrade' and has been for the past five years or so. it has gotten more prevalent, and the meaning is become more clearly socialistic over the past few years.
please forgive me, thank you for your laying out the dates and consequences of gun control.
what of the army exercises that include firing on citizens, women and children that refuse to comply? funny, i cant recall where i heard it or read it, have you heard of such a like?

This line of thinking is very skewed. How can you call confederates terrorists. Hindsight being 20/20 isn't it obvious they were acting in this countries best interest. Jim McVeigh may very well been set up. The real threat to our country is unsecured borders, multiple languages wich water down nationalism, and the distruction of our christian culture! Guns especially assault weapons should be in every home.

I will not stand to be dictated to. I will not be caught without a firearm at my immediate disposal. I will not conform to a gov't that practices tyranny. I will not hesitate to fire upon anyone that attempts to take my freedoms away. If I had the resources I would not hesitate to eliminate any member of the present administration. It is not a good time to be a politician or military member or law enforcement member at any level. They will die at my hands when they cross my line. You weakling dems that can't even govern your own life without gov't intervention laugh if you will, but I do not talk just to hear myself, I am deaf, but not blind.

First, assault weapons were outlawed in 1934. The guns they're trying to outlaw today are semi-auto firearms that only resemble assault weapons in their asthetics. They function no differently than any other semi-auto sporting arm.

Second, show me the 19th century river boat that will hold 1500 persons. Further, that 1500 were killed means that there had to be even more aboard, since some would have had to survive. You're an idiot. Not hard to blow smoke up your arse. But even if it were possible to have happened, that you would use it to diminish today's actual terrorism against civilians, says everything we need to know about you. Go screw yourself!

We should all be scared by what the current administration is trying to do in all aspects of our goverment evrything their trying to do is almost exactly right out of Hitlers Book (Mein Kampf) here is some of it read it and draw your own conclusion's.

Mein Kampf:679 "The strength of a party lies in the disciplined obedience of the members to follow their leadership. The decisive factors are leadership and discipline. When troops battle one another, the victorious one will be that which is blindly obedient to the Superior Leader."

Mein Kampf:704 "The emphasis was put on the spoken word because only it is in a position to bring about great changes for general psychological reasons. Enormous world revolutionary events have not been brought about by the written word, but by the spoken word."

Mein Kampf:704 "The agitatory activity of speech is bound to have mass influence."

Mein Kampf:706 "The great speaker senses the words that he needs to use in order to impassion his audience. If he errs he has the opportunity for correction. He can read his listener.' expressions to see if they understand, and can repeat his message until he has convinced them of the correctness of what he has said."

Mein Kampf:706 "The great speaker will repeat his message so often, with so many examples, he will overcome objections and refute them before they are even raised."

Mein Kampf:710 "I was astonished by how much better my message was received at night.... It's a mysterious magic that allows an encroachment upon man's free will. In the evening they succumb more easily to the dominating force of a stronger will. The domineering apostolic nature weakens their resistance."

Mein Kampf:715 "The meeting is necessary if only because new adherents of a new movement feel lonely and are easily seized with the fear of being alone. Brought together they sense a greater community.... They are carried away by the powerful effect of the suggestive intoxication and enthusiasm of the others. The crowd confirms the correctness of the new doctrine in his mind and removes doubt. He then succumbs to the magic seductive influence of the meeting."

Mein Kampf:717 "God be praised and thanked that unspoilt people avoid bourgeois mass meetings as the Devil avoids holy water."

Mein Kampf:715 "The man who is the first representative of a new doctrine is exposed to serious oppression and urgently needs the strengthening that lies in the conviction of being a fighter in an embracing body."

Mein Kampf:720 "It was important to introduce blind discipline into our meetings and to safeguard the authority of the leader. The brutal recklessness of our guards were able to thwart the enemy's hecklers."

Mein Kampf:728 "Before they could finish a sentence they would find themselves thrown outside the hall."

Mein Kampf:752 "Destiny chooses the Man and Destiny gives him the final victory. Dissatisfied with the religious life of his people, he longs for a renovation. Based upon his inspiration he is called upon to present a solution for this religious distress, appearing like a prophet of a new doctrine and as a fighter against the existing ones."

Kampf:752 "The strongest man is chosen for fulfilling the great mission. One Man is the One who is exclusively called upon."

Mein Kampf:753 "They have the purest faith in their own mission, they consider themselves obliged to go their own way without considering others. Nature Herself, in Her inexorable logic, makes the decision by prompting fights and by leading that movement to the goal that has been chosen by the clearest, shortest, and surest way."

Mein Kampf:763 "One must never forget that everything that is actually great in this world has not been fought for and won by coalitions, but always by the success of One Individual victor. The religious State will never be created by compromise but only by the steel-hard willpower of one sole movement which has struggled its way against all others."

Mein Kampf:765 "If popularity and force unite then authority can be established more solidly based upon tradition. When popularity, force, and tradition combine, authority becomes unshakable."

Mein Kampf:798 "What we need is not one hundred daring plotters, but many hundreds of thousands of fanatical fighters for our view of life."

Mein Kampf:845 "Nazism{Liberalism} must claim the right to force its principles on the whole and educate everyone about its ideas and thoughts without regard to previous boundaries."

Mein Kampf:848 "Great theorists are only in the rarest cases great organizers. The Greatness of the program-maker [religious founder] lies in the recognition and in the establishment of abstractly correct rules, while the organizer has to be a psychologist. He has to take man as he is, and thus must know him. He must not over evaluate him. He must try to account for his weakness and bestial nature so that the program becomes a strong, constant force, suitable for carrying an idea and paving its way to success."

Mein Kampf:848 "Rarely is a great theorist a great leader. More usually he is an agitator who shows the ability of imparting an idea to the masses as a psychologist and demagogue. For to lead means to be able to move [seduce] the masses."

Mein Kampf:849 "The combination of the theorist [prophet], organizer [politician], and leader [general] in one person is the rarest thing to be found on this globe. This combination makes the Great Man."

Mein Kampf:851 "The first task of propaganda is the winning of people for the future organization. The first task of the organization [Islam] is the winning of people for the continuation of propaganda. The second task of propaganda is the destruction of existing doctrines. The second task of the organization must be the fight for power so that by it will achieve the final success of the doctrine [total submission]."

Mein Kampf:851 "The most striking success of the revolution of a view of life will always be won whenever the new view of life [religotic] is taught [dictated] to all people, and if necessary, is forced upon them."

I call this Obama's Playbook.
