Just one last one for you guys, George & Dave. Well, precisely because mankind could not adequately solve the riddles of life and death, suffering and decline, (S)HE INVENTED THE GODS AND GOD and all the myths related to their (or his) ALLEGED existence. Yes, maybe God or the gods exist, but then ONLY WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE HUMAN BRAIN, nowhere else, I’m afraid.

Amen brother. Hows it working out in Cuba? Those people live in absolute poverty, while the Castro’s and his boys live high off the hog. It could be a very successful, beautiful resort place, but communism took care of that. It didnt work out for Russia. Ask East Germany. Oh wait, they dont exist anymore. Socialism has been tried and it has failed at every turn. Give me the free market system of capitalism anyday. A man should be able to succeed from his hard work, much like the pilgrims in this story, once they were allowed to see the fruits of their labor. But now our government has gotten so big, they punish this, and reward those who lay around and do nothing. Its just not right, and it needs to end.

When some teaching institutions remove the words selfless and self-sacrifice from their creeds, the world will have a greater chance of becoming a better place.
It is the psychological poison that stifles, bit by bit, thinking, reason, liberty and life, proper to man’s survival as man.It is the giving up of a higher value for a lesser or non value and is the weapon of all tyrants used to bring about slavery.

Im sure there were cavemen that bopped another over the head to steal his food. Judas gave up Jesus for some silver. Cain killed Abel because he was jealous of him. Its been going on since the beginning. And still man doesnt get it. And worse yet, we have leaders that dont get it.

I agree Dave. Let the free market system work. If a company has a product I want, I will gladly pay for it. If they price it too high, I will either not buy it, or I will go to their competitor. If they continually make junk, people will stop buying it, and those companies will go belly up. Until that is, the government gets in the way, and gives certain choice companies billions of dollars to keep operating. I have to ask, why? Why reward failure? Why not reward success? Instead, government punishes those that succeed by taxing them more and more, and rewards those who fail by giving them billions. If they would just back off and let things take its course, business will take care of itself. Those that make a good product tht we willingly buy will live. Those that dont, will die. Why does the government throw good money after bad? Why do they even need to get involved? It is none of their business. Government intrusion screws up everything.
