You Are Becoming a Diabetic Thanks To Processed Foods
February 20, 2009 by Bob Livingston
We are potentially a nation of diabetics. With our present “diet,” everyone in America will eventually become a diabetic.
America is on a sugar binge. The population is now so addicted to sugar that products that are not spiked with some kind of sugar or sugar substitute just won’t sell.
This morning I passed a small supermarket in a small town that had 15 cold drink vending machines lined against an outside wall for the addicted public. This was up from 12 drink machines from the last time I counted them.
The main ingredient in these innocent little refreshers is fructose corn syrup. As mentioned before, fructose corn syrup is neither corn nor fructose. It is a synthetic sugar used as a cheap sweetener and cheap filler.
According to the late Royal Lee, M.D., fructose corn syrup is the only sweetener that causes diabetes in test animals. He also stated that fructose corn syrup blocks the assimilation of calcium in people. Aren’t our seniors heavily burdened with osteoporosis?
And according to Lee, fructose corn syrup predisposes humans to cancer.
Harvey W. Wiley, M.D., head of the first Bureau of Chemists, now called the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), strongly opposed fructose corn syrup stating the high risk to human health. He said that fructose corn syrup would cause the pancreatic function to be bypassed and shut the pancreas down, causing a nation of diabetics. And now we see it happening.
Today it is very difficult to find anything to eat that does not have fructose corn syrup as the first ingredient. And it may be under several different names such as just fructose or just corn syrup. Surely this is deception. If the manufacturers would just say “synthetic sugar,” many people would reject these food products. The buying public thinks that they are getting natural fruit sugar.
Commercial food processors are committing the most serious crimes against the American people with approval of the FDA and the silence of the medical establishment.
Fructose corn syrup was blocked as a food additive for a time by the FDA under Harvey Wiley, but as all things, the powers that be eventually succumbed to political pressure and money so the commercial food processors prevailed.

If you live in Arizona you are living in socialism. “BE FOREWARNED” As one example; See the “Fact Sheet” embodied in web site; MesaAzCorruption.com and learn how small groups of devious business men were able to usurp all power over all 152 Arizona cities. These business groups have created what many Arizonan’s term as; “Legalized, Organized Political Racketeering.”
The state of Arizona recently recieved four billion of the peoples tax dollars from Obama’s Stemulous Package that will wind up in the rat hole.
Is there something that can be done before they lie to the people of Arizona about
the use of the money, and can this be reported by to the President about them
raping the people. Since this is known, something should be done to stop this same
cycle. Enough is enough. People need jobs, and families need saving.
i agree — the FDA is horribly corrupt. it’s the perfect example of an unfunded mandate. it’s also the perfect example what happens when we put too much faith in the free market. the FDA is supposed to regulate the free market so that harmful products don’t even hit the shelves. i would argue that is better than the free market’s method of rooting out these products: wait for people to get sick and/or die from a product and then wait for people to stop buying the product so the company goes under.
but yes, i agree that the FDA needs to be restaffed. i wish we americans had more control over who staffs these departments. maybe through more elections? i’m not sure that would be any better.
It is my opinion that all processed food are dangerous to our health. They contain so many preservatives and additivies no one can even begin to pronounce. These
toxins build up in our bodies and are the main cause of most illnesses. To make matters even worse, we pass these toxins on to our children. My son was diagnosed with asthma at an early age and medications (?) did not help. After taking all the doctors precautions with no results, it finally dawned on me: it’s in the food. I then learned to preserve my own home-grown vegetables and fruits and his asthma is no longer a problem. You may think I’m crazy, but take a look at the number of children who have cancer today as compared to those living 50-60 years ago. Well, it just make sense to me.
It is also my opinion that many of the medicines on the market today are even more harmful than the disease/condition for which they developed. You may be curious as to whether I take medications, and I do; but only if it is absolutely, positively necessary.
There are several basic rules people need to use in a grocery store. First, if something has a lot of sugar, don’t buy it. Second, if it says ‘low sugar,’ but it’s laced with artificial sweeteners, don’t buy it. Third, if it contains genetically-modified ingredients, don’t buy it. Fourth, take care of your health by buying natural food(s).
